Jamshedpur FC coach Scott Cooper has provided fresh updates on his squad ahead of their Indian Super League (ISL) match against Odisha FC on Friday.
The Red Miners are currently struggling in the ISL after seven matches. They have just won a solitary match and are currently sitting 10th in the table with only 5 points. And ahead of the crucial clash against a buoyant Odisha side, Cooper has given update on three of his players.

Pronay Halder, one of the key players of the season is out for the season, the JFC coach confirmed in his pre-match press conference.
"Pronay is out for the season. He's had a surgery. You all knew that. Which is a sad loss because he's an influential player. He was playing very well, Pronay fit perfectly in the balance, especially with this Jeremy. It was a nice combination," Cooper said.
He also has given an update on Ritwik Das. The talented player has just played one match this season and Cooper says Ritwik is still recovering from his injury and may take a couple of weeks. The coach also added that Ritwik may only regain his optimum best after the turn of the calendar.
"Ritwik Das continues to work on his recovery and rehab. He's not ready. He tried to come back to North East. It didn't work. Everybody could see that. And so he's continuing to work. We don't really know where he is. He could be a couple of weeks away. He is not ready to play in an ISL game at full power. We might not see the best of Ritwik until the resumption of the ISL in the new year," Cooper added.
The JFC coach states that the Indian player had a knee issue which has coupled with a new calf problem.
Ahead of Jamshedpur's crucial clash against Odisha, Scott Cooper has kept things under the smoke that who will be in between the sticks. TP Rehenesh has been their starter but his Red Card against Mohun Bagan opened the doors for Vishal Yadav, who kept the goal in their last match against FC Goa.
But Cooper didn't shed light on which player he entrusts as the custodian against the Kalinga Warriors.
"As for Vishal and TP, we'll have to wait and see on that one. Because Vishal came in and did a tremendous job. It was a good game because we had a lot of good possession. But you can't put a price on the experience that TP has got. And if we're being totally honest, in the first six games of the league, TP has been the best keeper in the league. So, should he be punished for a red card that he probably shouldn't have got?" the JFC coach kept the suspense.
