ISL champions Mumbai City FC are aiming to further strengthen their squad, and as per reports, they are in advanced talks with former Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral.
As per a report from IFTWC, Toral has agreed terms with Mumbai City and is on the verge of joining the club. The Islanders are confident of tying the deal in the coming days as only a medical and paperwork formalities remain.

Jon Toral is a Spanish midfielder who is a product of Barcelona's famous La Masia Academy. The player moved to Arsenal as a 16-year-old back in 2011 and was part of the professional squad from 2014 to 2017.

After leaving Arsenal in 2017, the 29-year-old joined English club Hull City and played 56 times for them across all competitions. After a season-long stay at Birmingham again, Toral has been playing for Greek club OFI Crete for the past three seasons. Toral has been in impressive goal-scoring form with the Greek club as well, scoring 15 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions.
Jon Toral's versatility in the midfield touts him to make a big impact in Mumbai. The Spaniard can play in various roles in midfield, from an attacking midfielder to a much more central role in midfield. Along with that, Toral will also be a fantastic addition for ISL given his experience after playing across many top European leagues over the years.
Mumbai City were also in need of a midfielder after the departures of Alberto Noguera and Greg Stewart, thus the significance of Toral's arrival is even greater.
