Two-time champions Chennaiyin FC on Friday (June 14) announced their sixth arrival for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season with the signing of talented for Kiya Nassiri.
The 23-year-old talented Indian forward, who previously played for Mohun Bagan Super Giant, has signed a three-year contract with Chennaiyin FC that will keep him at the club till 2027.

Talking about the club's new signing, head coach Owen Coyle said, "We are excited to welcome Kiyan Nassiri to this great club. When you score a hattrick on your debut against your biggest rivals, it says everything there is to be said. He's a great boy and we have no doubt he will quickly become a fan favourite."
Nassiri, who honed his skills in the Mohammedan U16 team in various competitions, was a regular member of Mohun Bagan SG side that won the ISL Winners Shield in 2024 and the ISL trophy in 2023. In 68 matches across the competition for the club, he played brilliantly and registered nine goals and two assists.

Nassiri's presence in Chennaiyin FC will elevate the team's attacking capabilities, as he is expected to play a pivotal role for the club, bringing valuable quality and energy to the club on the field.
Nassiri will now link up with five other signings and the rest of the Chennaiyin FC side for the upcoming season. Chennaiyin had earlier signed Colombian forward Wilmar Jordan Gil, who played for Punjab FC in the 2024-25 season.
The Marina Machans also roped in a quartet of Jamshepur FC players - Daniel Chima Chukwu, Jitendra Singh, Elsinho and PC Laldinpuia, on free transfers after their contracts expired last month.
