Ismaila Sarr has rejoined the Premier League, signing with Crystal Palace from Marseille. The club confirmed his transfer on Thursday. Sarr, who previously played two seasons in England's top division with Watford, has agreed to a five-year deal at Selhurst Park for a reported fee of £12.5 million.
Sarr is seen as a replacement for Michael Olise, who moved to Bayern Munich earlier in the transfer window for £50 million. Last season, the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international made 35 appearances for Marseille, scoring five goals, three of which were in Ligue 1.

During his time at Watford in the Premier League, Sarr made 50 appearances, netting 10 goals and providing six assists. His most productive seasons came in the Championship, where he contributed to 39 goals in 78 matches over two campaigns.
"I am very happy to be here because Crystal Palace is a great club," said Sarr. "Thanks to the coach and the Sporting Director—they told me about their project, and I accepted because it is a good project. I am going to work hard on the pitch and off the pitch for the team and for the fans as well."
Head coach Oliver Glasner expressed his satisfaction with Sarr's decision to join Crystal Palace. "We're happy that Ismaila has decided to join Crystal Palace because he knows the Premier League when he played at Watford, he knows living in England, and he also had many games with Marseille last season," Glasner said.
"In every year, in every club where he was, he's showed that he can score goals. He showed it as well in the national team for Senegal, so we are really pleased that he will join our group," Glasner added.
Sarr becomes Palace's third signing of this transfer window following midfielder Daichi Kamada and defender Chadi Riad. The club aims to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Sarr's experience in both English football and international competitions makes him a valuable addition to Crystal Palace's lineup. His ability to contribute both goals and assists will be crucial for the team's success.
The forward's return to England marks an exciting chapter for both him and Crystal Palace fans who eagerly anticipate his impact on the field.
