Jack Grealish believes he deserved a spot in England's Euro 2024 squad. Initially included in the 33-man training group, he was among seven players cut from the final team for Germany. England reached the final but lost 2-1 to Spain. Under interim manager Lee Carsley, Grealish impressed in September's Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland.
Grealish expressed his disagreement with Gareth Southgate's decision to exclude him from the final squad. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, he said, "I didn’t really agree with it." He considers himself an experienced player who has achieved much and believes he should have been included.

During the 2023-24 season, Grealish started only ten league games for Manchester City, scoring three goals and assisting once. Despite acknowledging a less-than-stellar domestic season, he was devastated by his omission from Euro 2024, calling it "probably the most difficult period of my life."
In a recent match against Ireland in Dublin, Grealish scored in England's 2-0 victory. He aims to replicate this success against Greece and Finland soon. When asked if he felt he had something to prove, Grealish stated his desire to demonstrate what England missed at Euro 2024.
"Of course, I wanted to come here and train well and play well," Grealish remarked. He expressed gratitude towards Lee Carsley for trusting him, saying it meant a lot. He feels that managers who communicate well with him positively impact his performance.
Grealish appreciates Carsley's approach over the last two camps, noting how it boosts his confidence when a manager shows faith in him. "It makes me feel that the manager really does rate me," he added, praising Carsley's influence since joining the team.
