Jack Grealish has transitioned from Manchester City to Everton on a loan for the 2025-26 season. This move aims to strengthen Everton's attacking lineup. Grealish, who played 157 matches under Pep Guardiola, was not included in City's Club World Cup squad in the United States and missed their FA Cup final against Crystal Palace. He also did not travel for City's last Premier League game.
The 29-year-old is eager to rejuvenate his career under David Moyes at Everton. "I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton," said Grealish. "It's massive for me, honestly. This is a great club, with great fans." He expressed excitement about joining after speaking with Moyes and receiving supportive messages from Everton fans.

Grealish joined City from Aston Villa in a £100 million deal in 2021. His peak performance came in the 2022-23 season when he scored five goals and assisted 11 times, contributing to City's treble win. However, his form dipped afterward, with only 17 Premier League starts over two seasons and just 715 minutes played in the 2024-25 season.
David Moyes welcomed Grealish warmly, stating, "We're very pleased to have him on board." Moyes believes Grealish's experience and understanding of the Premier League will be beneficial. He added that Grealish aims to rejoin the England squad and hopes Everton can help him achieve this goal during the season.
This summer, Grealish becomes Everton's sixth new player. The club has also signed Thierno Barry, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carlos Alcaraz, Adam Aznou, and Mark Travers. These additions aim to enhance Everton's squad depth as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Grealish might make his debut for Everton at Elland Road on August 18 against Leeds United as they begin their Premier League campaign. The match against newly promoted Leeds offers an opportunity for Grealish to showcase his skills and start fresh with his new team.
