Match Highlights

Jamshedpur FC broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, capitalizing on one of their signature long throw-ins. Ashutosh Mehta launched a precise throw into the box, where Stephen Eze showcased his composure by adjusting his footing and powering a shot from a tight angle into the top left corner.

Eight minutes later, Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) graduate Mohammed Sanan came close to adding a second with a powerful long-range attempt that just swerved past the post.

NorthEast United FC tried to mount a comeback early in the second half. Buanthanglun Samte tested Jamshedpur's defense with a looping long ball from near midfield, forcing goalkeeper Albino Gomes to make a sharp save. Moments later, Samte set up Macarton Nickson, who relayed it to Jithin MS, but the forward's strike failed to hit the target.

Despite going down to ten men after Mobashir Rahman was shown a red card in the 88th minute for a reckless challenge, Jamshedpur FC stayed resilient. In added time, Javi Hernandez and Ritwik Das combined brilliantly to breach the Highlanders' defense. Hernandez calmly slotted the ball into the net, sealing the victory and ensuring Jamshedpur's progression to the semi-finals.
