Jamshedpur FC vs FC Goa: In a pivotal Indian Super League (ISL) encounter at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur FC secured a 3-1 win over FC Goa, climbing to second place in the standings. This victory marked head coach Khalid Jamil's second triumph over Manolo Marquez's side this season.

It followed a 2-1 win in their previous meeting on September 17, 2024. The match commenced with both teams displaying attacking intent. In the 34th minute, defender Lazar Cirkovic unleashed a powerful shot into the top right corner, giving Jamshedpur FC the lead.

Shortly after, in the 37th minute, Mohammed Sanan's skillful play down the left flank culminated in a shot that goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari parried, only for Javier Siverio to capitalize and double the advantage. FC Goa responded just before halftime.

Brison Fernandes delivered a precise pass to Ayush Dev Chhetri, who found the bottom right corner, reducing the deficit. The Gaurs intensified their efforts in the second half, with Mohammed Yasir and Sahil Tavora creating a notable opportunity in the 57th minute, but Yasir's attempt struck the crossbar.

Khalid Jamil's tactical decision to introduce Mobashir Rahman in the 58th minute proved decisive. In the 68th minute, Rahman's well-placed corner found Siverio, who headed the ball into the top left corner, securing Jamshedpur FC's third goal.

Midfielder Javi Hernandez was instrumental in the victory, completing 17 of his 20 passes, contributing defensively, and creating several scoring opportunities.

This win elevates Jamshedpur FC to 34 points, surpassing FC Goa's 33, and securing the second spot on the table. Looking ahead, Jamshedpur FC are set to face Bengaluru FC on February 9, while FC Goa will meet Odisha FC on February 6.
