Jamshedpur FC has reinforced its squad for the upcoming Durand Cup by bringing in three experienced Indian players - forward Daniel Lalhlimpuia, midfielder Jayesh Rane, and defender Nishu Kumar.
With all group matches scheduled at their home venue, the JRD Tata Sports Complex, these signings are set to enhance the team's quality and depth for Asia's oldest football tournament.

Daniel Lalhlimpuia, aged 27, is a product of the AIFF Elite Academy and previously captained India's U-19 team, making his senior international debut at 19 against Puerto Rico. His professional career began with Bengaluru FC, followed by spells at Punjab FC, Odisha FC, and Mumbai City FC. Daniel expressed his enthusiasm for joining Jamshedpur FC and looks forward to playing in front of the club's passionate supporters.
Jayesh Rane, 32, adds significant experience and stability to the midfield. His football journey began in the Mumbai FC youth setup, before making a mark with clubs such as Chennaiyin FC, Aizawl FC, Bengaluru FC, and Mumbai City FC. Rane has won trophies with multiple clubs and is known for his versatility and composure in the middle of the park. He highlighted the club's passionate fan base and his eagerness to contribute to the team's ambitions.
Nishu Kumar joins as a left-back, having developed his skills at the Chandigarh Football Academy and the AIFF Elite Academy. He has represented India at the U-20 level and played professionally for Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters FC, and East Bengal FC in the ISL. Nishu acknowledged Jamshedpur's strong previous campaign and the energy provided by the fans at the "Furnace," stating his readiness to give his best for the club.
Head coach Khalid Jamil welcomed the trio, noting that their experience and abilities in key positions would be closely evaluated during the Durand Cup group stage matches. These fixtures provide the ideal stage for the new signings to integrate and showcase their value to the squad.
Jamshedpur FC's Durand Cup campaign begins at home on 24 July against Tribhuvan Army FT, followed by matches against Indian Army FT on 29 July and 1Ladakh FC on 8 August.
