Jarell Quansah is poised for a significant step in his football journey. The Liverpool defender, aged 22, is reportedly considering a transfer from the club. Last season, he participated in 13 Premier League matches, starting only four times. Additionally, he played in all of Liverpool's EFL Cup games but took on the role of right-back in the final against Newcastle United instead of his usual central defence position.
Quansah has been linked with Bayer Leverkusen following Jonathan Tah's departure to Bayern Munich. Despite these rumours, Quansah remains focused on what he can control. "I'm not getting too high or too low with anything," he stated. He believes that his experiences over three professional seasons have prepared him well for future challenges.

In comparison to his Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Joe Gomez, Quansah ranks second in pass accuracy at 91.5% and tackle success at 66.7%. However, his duel success rate of 44.68% and aerial duel success of 41.18% are the lowest among the four centre-backs. It's important to note that Quansah has played significantly fewer minutes than Van Dijk and Konate in league matches.
Reflecting on his career progression from Bristol Rovers to now, Quansah feels well-positioned for the next phase. He emphasises the importance of hard work and staying focused on controllable aspects to ensure future success. "As for the future, it'll put me in the best stead if I just keep my head down and keep working," he added.
Quansah's focus remains on maintaining a balanced mindset as he navigates potential changes in his career path. His commitment to learning from past experiences is evident as he prepares for England Under-21's Euros match against Slovakia. By concentrating on personal growth and performance consistency, Quansah aims to secure a promising future in football.
