Jean-Philippe Mateta Stays Focused At Crystal Palace Following Transfer Speculations

Jean-Philippe Mateta, Crystal Palace's forward, is content with the club's decision not to sell him during the recent transfer window. Despite being open to leaving, Mateta is now focused on helping his team improve their performance this season.

Mateta had a strong finish last season and played a crucial role for Oliver Glasner. He also contributed to France's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. Reflecting on the club's decision, Mateta told L'Equipe: "I'm a realistic person: the club didn't want to sell me. Well, I'm moving on and I'm doing everything so that the team obtains better results than last year."

Crystal Palace will face Leicester City on Saturday. Although they have only secured one point from three Premier League matches so far, Mateta remains confident in Glasner's squad. He believes they can compete with any team in the league.
