Joao Felix has joined Al-Nassr, reuniting with his Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The Saudi Arabian club secured Felix from Chelsea for £43.7 million. Al-Nassr, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, will pay Chelsea an initial £26.2 million, with potential add-ons of £17.5 million.
Felix initially moved to Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023. During his stint, he scored four goals in 20 matches. However, Chelsea decided not to make the move permanent after the 2022-23 season. He then spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Barcelona, where he netted 10 goals in 44 appearances.

Chelsea later signed Felix permanently for £42 million but he struggled to secure a regular spot under Enzo Maresca. He started only nine games across all competitions before being loaned to AC Milan in January. At Milan, Felix made 11 of his 21 appearances as a substitute.
Milan chose not to pursue a permanent deal for Felix, prompting him to express interest in returning to Benfica. Discussions took place between Benfica and Felix's representatives, but financial constraints hindered the transfer. This allowed Al-Nassr to step in and finalize the deal.
Felix has signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr and has already joined his new teammates for pre-season training in Austria. His arrival adds to the Portuguese presence at the club following Jorge Jesus's appointment as head coach and Ronaldo's new two-year contract extension.
The move marks another chapter in Joao Felix's career as he looks forward to making an impact at Al-Nassr alongside fellow countryman Ronaldo.
