Jorginho celebrated Flamengo's remarkable Copa Libertadores victory, adding another trophy to his impressive collection. The former Italy international secured his first title with the Brazilian club since joining from Arsenal in June. Flamengo narrowly defeated Palmeiras 1-0 on Saturday, with Danilo scoring the decisive goal in Lima. This win marked Flamengo's fourth Copa title, making them the most successful Brazilian team in the competition's history.

Jorginho has had a distinguished career, winning numerous prestigious titles. He has claimed the European Championship, Champions League, Club World Cup, and Europa League. At 33, he became the 18th player to win both the Champions League and Copa Libertadores. Luis stated, "If you ask me whether I expected [to win], of course I did." He emphasised his lifelong ambition of winning titles and expressed appreciation for Flamengo's support through quality investment and organisation. The coach felt privileged to lead the team in such an important final.
