Moscow, March 6: When all the top footballing nations and players will be busy in fighting for the World Cup glory in Russia Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho too will be there however as an analyst.

A Russian broadcaster RT News announced on Monday, the Portuguese has joined the Popular media network to cover the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The coach of English Premier League powerhouse will reportedly earn an incredible £1.71m in four days at this summer's World Cup from the state-funded television station and share his unique insight throughout RT's coverage of the 2018 World Cup.

He will reportedly engage with the RT team via a satellite link-up with Manchester and work on during the last stage of World Cup, final four days.

"I am very happy to join the team at RT. I am looking forward to attending the World Cup in Russia this summer and sharing my insights into the games," said Mourinho during his unveiling as a Pundit.

Along with Mourinho, the Television house has also roped in another former Manchester United legend, goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel as well former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore who are also contracted up to entertain a review series before and during the whole tournament.

“We continue to put together the RT dream team. Now we have a coach,” said Russia Today's editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.

The Popular network reportedly holds the backing of President Putin and has often faced allegations for being a mouthpiece for the Russian government.

The network does not have the TV rights to live matches but they will reportedly cover live text commentary and match reports.
