Jose Mourinho reignited the rivalry yet again when he took a sly dig at his longtime foe, Arsene Wenger while addressing the press.
Last Saturday, November 19, Arsenal faced Manchester United and were involved in a 1-1 draw. Juan Mata scored the opening goal for the Red Devils, Olivier Giroud restored parity for the visitors.
Manchester United were clearly the dominant force in the match and deserved all three points but unfortunately, Giroud's late header restricted them to a draw.
After the match addressing the press Jose Mourinho said: "The Arsenal manager hasn't won a championship in 14 years.
"I haven't won a championship in 18 months. He, in 14 years, failed to build a team to be the champion.
"I've been here for four months. And the demand is only for me and not for others."
Arsene Wenger had last won the English Premier League title in 2003. Since then the French manager has managed to win 2 FA Cup titles.
While Mourinho has lifted the EPL title thrice with Chelsea, a UEFA Champions League title and 2 Serie A titles with Inter Milan and one La Liga title with Real Madrid.
Mourinho further added: "It must be because of the career I've made. Because I got to the clubs and always won right away.
"And this is a more difficult reality, because it is an extremely difficult competition, with teams being prepared for a lot longer, with excellent players, with excellent coaches.
"Manchester really live in a period that needs stability. A stability that the club wants to give me, a stability that the club gives me, a stability that the fans give me, but that the press does not accept very well."
