Julian Alvarez's confidence paid off as he scored a stunning free-kick in Atletico Madrid's 6-0 victory over Sparta Prague. This win marked Atletico's third Champions League triumph of the season. Alvarez's goal came just 15 minutes into the match, setting the tone for a dominant performance. The Argentine added another goal before Marcos Llorente and Antoine Griezmann, celebrating his 100th Champions League appearance, also found the net. It was their largest away victory in a major European competition, surpassing a 5-0 win against Kayseri Erciyesspor in October 2007. Alvarez expressed his delight with the result, telling Movistar Plus, "A great game, lots of goals, so I'm very happy. We needed it." Alvarez's free-kick was only the fourth direct one scored by an Atletico player in Champions League history and the first since Sergio Aguero's effort against Chelsea in November 2009. "Anything that means winning makes me happy," Simeone said. "We kept taking the game where we wanted it to go."
