Bengaluru, September 4: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has talked about Philippe Coutinho for the first time after his failed move to Barcelona and hinted that the player is welcome back to be part of his squad again.

Barcelona wanted to replace their star attacker Neymar with two players, the Brazilian Coutinho and the French wonderkid Ousmane Dembele.

The Catalan giants acquired the Dortmund player Dembele later in the window however after multiple bids they failed to lure away the Brazilian playmaker.

The 25-year-old signed a new contract with Liverpool in January and became the club's highest-paid player after signing a five-year, £150,000-a-week contract but after Barcelona's enquiry he tried to force an exit by a transfer request.

However, the manager and owners Fenway Sports Group stood firm and did not let the player go at any cost.

During a visit to his homeland to pay tribute to former Mainz player Nikolce Noveski, the German manager disclosed about the situation regarding the transfer and opined that the situation between the transfers of players of his former side and Liverpool cannot be compared as both the clubs are operated differently.

"We have our situation and Dortmund has another," Klopp told German media outlet SPORT1.

"Don't believe everything in the press or that there are offers here and there and that the minute after the offer has been entered, it should already be over.

"We are not like George Orwell where everybody knows everything immediately. We have exactly the situation we wanted and no other.

"Dortmund decided the player (Dembele) would leave them, so I cannot compare the two situations."

Coutinho was recently included in the 25 man list for the Premier League campaign and the Reds boss hinted about his future in the interview where he stated that he hopes everyone is available to play from the group.

"We still have a really good player in the squad who can play," Klopp proposed.

Coutinho is yet to feature for Liverpool this campaign due to a back injury but is likely to return during the team's trip to Manchester City after his nation's World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Tuesday (September 5).
