Leonardo Bonucci, a former Juventus defender, has voiced his opinion on the club's current situation. He believes that Juventus should either support head coach Thiago Motta or consider bringing back Antonio Conte. Juventus recently suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Atalanta, marking only their second loss in Serie A this season. Despite this setback, they remain fourth in the league standings.
The Bianconeri are nine points behind league leaders Inter and have faced challenges in other competitions as well. They were eliminated from the Champions League during the knockout phase playoff against PSV. Additionally, their Coppa Italia campaign ended at the quarter-final stage last month after losing to Empoli on penalties. These results have put pressure on Motta.

It has been five years since Juventus last won the Scudetto, a title they claimed eight times during Bonucci's career with the club. The first three of these victories came under Conte's leadership between 2012 and 2014. Bonucci, who played over 500 matches for Juve, suggests that the club should consider bringing Conte back to the Allianz Stadium at season's end.
If Motta and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli continue in their roles, Bonucci insists that Motta must do more than express sadness over recent defeats. "With Atalanta, we made a fool of ourselves," Bonucci told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "It hurt my heart. I don't think anything like this has ever happened, an ugly scene." He emphasised the importance of respecting fans' emotions and maintaining strong leadership.
Bonucci also highlighted how the atmosphere of recent matches has increased pressure on those with limited experience and leadership skills. He hopes that this atmosphere will once again become a positive factor contributing to victories. Regarding Motta's future, he stated: "It depends on what the objectives are of the club which, in the summer, invested in some players but also in young players that they enhanced."
If Juventus aims for immediate success, Bonucci suggests changing coaches in June and hiring Conte. Otherwise, they should allow Motta and Giuntoli time to build a foundation for future success. He stressed that coaching Juventus is unique and requires more than just expressing disappointment after losses.
The decision regarding Motta's future will depend on whether Juventus prioritises short-term success or long-term development with their current investments in young talent.
