Juventus coach Thiago Motta expressed disappointment over his team's performance in their 1-1 draw against Torino. Despite remaining unbeaten in Serie A this season, Juventus has drawn 12 out of 19 matches. Nikola Vlasic equalised after Kenan Yildiz's early goal, leaving Juventus fifth and 11 points behind leaders Napoli. Juventus is only the second team to draw at least 12 of the first 19 games in a Serie A season since the three points for a win era began, following Inter in the 2004-05 campaign with 13 draws.
Motta is increasingly frustrated with his team's inability to convert draws into victories. "We started well, but after taking the lead we dropped too deep, allowing them to create chances," Motta told reporters. He believes they could have been more aggressive or prevented Torino from reaching dangerous areas. The coach emphasised that they need to improve their aggressiveness and finish games better to secure wins.

Despite having a young squad and dealing with injuries, Motta refuses to use these as excuses. He acknowledged that they have only lost two matches across all competitions but stressed that there have been too many draws, especially after leading games. "We [have] talked about this situation," he added.
The team faced Torino without striker Dusan Vlahovic due to a muscle injury. However, Douglas Luiz returned from injury and impressed Motta with his performance. The Brazilian international joined Juventus from Aston Villa last year and has been linked with a potential move away from the club this month. "He played very well, I'm very happy with his performance," Motta said, highlighting the importance of having as many fit players as possible.
The challenges for Juventus continue as they prepare to face Atalanta next before taking on AC Milan. The team will need to address their issues quickly if they hope to climb higher in the Serie A standings.
