Juventus Sign Emil Holm On Loan As Rugani And Joao Mario Move Out

Juventus announce the loan signing of Emil Holm from Bologna for the 2025-26 season, with an option to buy. Joao Mario heads to Bologna on loan, while Daniele Rugani is loaned to Fiorentina. Holm has contributed five goal involvements this term, underscoring the club's defensive reinforcements.

Juventus have reshaped the squad with several loan moves, bringing in Emil Holm from Bologna while sending Joao Mario to Bologna and Daniele Rugani to Fiorentina. All three deals run for the rest of the 2025-26 season, giving Juventus flexibility in defence and midfield during the decisive phase of the campaign.

Holm joins Juventus on loan from Bologna and is set to stay until the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Reports state the agreement includes an option for Juventus to buy Holm permanently in the summer. The 25-year-old full-back has one goal and four assists in Serie A this season, giving Holm five direct goal contributions across 11 league appearances.

Juventus Loan Moves Holm, Mario, Rugani

Holm’s attacking output stands out among Serie A defenders, with only Inter player Federico Dimarco recording more goal involvements, with 13. Holm has also featured regularly in Europe, making five appearances for Bologna in the Europa League. These numbers underline why Juventus targeted Holm to strengthen the right flank and add depth for domestic and European fixtures.

Moving the other way, Joao Mario leaves Juventus for Bologna on loan after a difficult start in Turin. The midfielder arrived from Porto but has managed just two Serie A starts, playing 10 league games without any goals or assists. The switch offers Joao Mario more regular minutes and gives Bologna another midfield option.

Rugani’s situation also changes, with the defender joining Fiorentina on loan following injury problems this season. The 31-year-old has featured eight times across Serie A and the Champions League in 2025-26. Rugani previously spent last season on loan at Ajax, and this new move is aimed at restoring fitness and rhythm while Juventus adjust defensive resources.
