Thiago Motta emphasised the need for Juventus to perform at their peak against Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday. Facing a team that has already defeated Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid this season, Juve's challenge is significant. This encounter marks the first meeting between these teams. However, Juve has struggled against French teams recently, losing three of their last four matches.

Juventus' recent record against French opponents includes two losses to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2022-23 campaign. Motta cautioned against complacency, stating that every match holds importance. "We, as Juventus, always want to win. The most important thing is always trying to improve," he mentioned on Monday.

Motta will have midfielder Douglas Luiz available after recovering from injury but will miss several key players. "He's [Luiz] one more player who can help the team," Motta said. However, Arek Milik, Gleison Bremer, and Nicolas Gonzalez remain unavailable for selection.
