Juventus have announced that Renato Veiga will be sidelined due to a leg injury sustained during their match against PSV. Veiga, on loan from Chelsea, was injured early in the Champions League play-off in the Netherlands. Following tests at J Medical in Turin, Juventus provided an update on Thursday.
The club confirmed that Veiga left the field during the first half against PSV Eindhoven. Diagnostic tests revealed damage to the tendon of the plantaris gracilis in his right leg. "Renato Veiga underwent diagnostic tests," Juventus stated. The examinations confirmed an injury to his right leg tendon.

Although Juventus did not specify when Veiga might return, reports suggest he could be out for two to three weeks. The 21-year-old joined Juventus on loan until season's end in January and has been a regular starter this month.
Veiga made a significant impact in last week's 1-0 Serie A victory over Inter. He led with 63 touches, 41 completed passes, and seven clearances. Juventus, currently fourth in the league, will face Cagliari on Sunday before playing Empoli in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
