Juventus have secured Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes on a permanent basis. The 22-year-old defender has committed to a four-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 2029. The transfer deal is valued at 12.5 million. Costa has played in 21 matches for Vitoria this season, contributing three assists in 10 Primeira Liga games.
Among defenders born from 2003 onwards, Costa ranks high in tackles attempted, with only Pedro Gomes (34) and Alvaro Carreras (33) surpassing his 24 attempts. This highlights his defensive capabilities on the field. Additionally, Costa is one of just four defenders to have provided at least two assists in a single match this season.

Thiago Motta has moved to strengthen Juventus' defence following injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal earlier this season. Danilo is also reportedly nearing an exit after falling out of favour, prompting further defensive adjustments. These changes are part of Juventus' strategy to enhance their performance in the latter half of the season.
Juventus are also reportedly close to acquiring Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain. This potential signing aims to bolster their squad as they seek improvement after recording 13 draws in their first 20 matches this season.
The addition of Alberto Costa is seen as a significant move for Juventus as they aim to solidify their defensive line-up. His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively makes him a valuable asset for the team moving forward.
