Juventus target Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin

Juventus manager Allegri is reportedly not happy with the current choices at right fullbacks and is ready to splash the cash on the young Arsenal star to solidify the right side for seasons to come.

Bengaluru, December 17: Juventus eye Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin for next summer to replace the ageing star Stephan Lichtsteiner who is been touted to leave the club in January.

Lichtsteiner currently has only six months left in his contract and has been surplus to requirements in the current Juventus squad as he is been demoted in the pecking order behind new signing Mattia De Sciglio and Benedikt Howedes.

But manager Allegri is reportedly not happy with the current choices at right fullbacks and is ready to splash the cash on the young Arsenal star to solidify the right side for seasons to come.

Bellerin has struggled for form this season, however, he is consistent first-team choice for Arsene Wenger and is being valued as an important key member of the squad. And now, according to Italian media house Tuttosport, Juventus are now all set to test Bellerin’s loyalty to Arsenal from January.

The 22-year-old signed a six-year deal with the Gunners last year and is under contract at Arsenal until 2023 and it is certain that if the Serie A giants are to make an offer, they have to break the bank to land the Spanish star next Summer.

Apart from Bellerin, the defending Serie A Champions are also considering Paris saint German right back Thomas Meunier and Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko as potential targets.

Arsenal are currently at the fourth place in the Premier League but have gone through a mixed run in the League. And should they again miss a champions league spot this year, it will be hard for them to keep hold of top players like Bellerin who has much in his locker and can do with some top European competitions with Juventus.

Juventus have won six consecutive Italian league titles and are currently third in the table, four-point adrift of leaders Napoli with one game in hand so it is a given that the Italian side will make into UCL next year.
