Juventus Secures 3-0 Victory Against Genoa As Vlahovic Scores Twice

Dusan Vlahovic scored two goals to lead Juventus to a decisive 3-0 win over Genoa, propelling them to the top of Serie A. The match highlighted Vlahovic's return to form after a goal drought.

Dusan Vlahovic's two goals propelled Juventus to a 3-0 victory over Genoa, placing them at the top of Serie A. Vlahovic netted Juventus' first league goal in four matches by converting a penalty awarded for handball after halftime. He scored again in the 55th minute from a tight angle, assisted by Teun Koopmeiners' cross-field pass.

The match in Genoa was held without spectators due to previous crowd violence during their Coppa Italia game against Sampdoria, which resulted in over 50 injuries. Despite recent goalless draws, Juventus now leads the standings with 12 points from six games, one point ahead of Torino, who face Lazio on Sunday.

Vlahovic Leads Juventus to Victory Over Genoa

Francisco Conceicao added the third goal with a precise finish late in the game. This win marked an end to Juventus' streak of three consecutive 0-0 draws. The team has not conceded a goal in the first 33 minutes of any match this season, setting a record for the longest run without conceding at the start of a Serie A season since the introduction of three points for a win.

Vlahovic's performance was notable as he became one of only two players to score multiple braces this season, matching Marcus Thuram. His proficiency from penalties is evident, having converted 18 out of 22 attempts in Serie A, including his last three this year.

Conceicao's goal came exactly 8,252 days after his father Sergio last scored in Serie A for Inter against Udinese on February 24, 2002. This familial connection adds an interesting layer to his achievement on Saturday.
