Thiago Motta has confirmed that midfielder Teun Koopmeiners will be available for Juventus' upcoming Serie A match against Parma on Wednesday. Koopmeiners, who transferred from Atalanta to Juventus this summer, had been sidelined due to a rib fracture sustained in a 1-1 draw with Cagliari earlier this month. Before his injury, the Dutch international made seven appearances for Juventus, contributing one assist in a victory over Genoa.
Juventus recently played an exciting 4-4 draw against Inter in the Derby d'Italia over the weekend. Kenan Yildiz scored twice in the second half to secure a draw at San Siro. Despite this result, Juventus remains five points behind Serie A leaders Napoli. Motta expressed satisfaction with the team's performance but pointed out defensive issues, noting that they conceded two penalties converted by Piotr Zielinski.

Motta acknowledged the need for improvement, especially regarding penalties and maintaining discipline on the field. "We must always finish with 11 men and not cause penalties," he stated. He emphasised that managing moments when opponents perform better is crucial for the team's growth.
While Koopmeiners' return is a positive development for Juventus, Motta revealed that Gleison Bremer, Arek Milik, and Douglas Luiz remain unavailable due to injuries. "We won't have Gleison, Douglas, Nico or Arek but we will recover Koop," Motta informed reporters. The coach is yet to decide if Koopmeiners will start or join during the game.
Juventus aims to continue their unbeaten league run under Motta against Parma, who have struggled recently without a win in their last seven Serie A matches. Historically, Juventus has performed well against Parma, remaining unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 encounters (W10 D3). The team has also excelled in Wednesday matches, winning eight of their last nine games on this day in Serie A.
Parma faces challenges as they have not won any of their last 18 away games in Serie A (D8 L10). Their longest away winless streak was between May 2007 and September 2009, lasting 23 matches. This record highlights the difficulties Parma encounters when playing away from home.
As Juventus prepares for their clash with Parma, they hope to capitalise on their strong record against them and maintain momentum in Serie A. With key players still recovering from injuries, Motta's strategic decisions will be crucial in navigating these challenges while aiming for another victory.
