Kaka named UEFA's European player of the year

Monte Carlo, Aug 31 : AC Milan's Kaka was named European club player of the year by UEFA today.

The Brazilian also collected the award for best forward during last season's Champions League.

Chelsea's Petr Cech was named the best goalkeeper from last season's tournament. AC Milan's Paolo Maldini won the best defender award while team mate Clarence Seedorf was judged to be the best midfielder.
