ISL leaders Kerala Blasters have a reputation to maintain and will look to make a statement with their in-form foreign forwards Dimitrios Diamantakos and Kwame Peprah. Diamantakos, in particular, is in devastating form with seven goals and two assists to his name in the first phase of ISL.

The club, however, will be without three crucial players as star midfielder Adrian Luna is recovering from a minor surgery while Rahul KP and Pritam Kotal are away on national duty for AFC Asian Cup 2024. However, defensive midfielder Jeakson Singh was spotted in the training session and may return to action soon.

Jeakson Singh's return to midfield will allow coach Ivan Vukomanovic to rotate his midfield with Mohammad Aimen, Vibin Mohanan and Danish Farooq have become important to Vukomanovic's formation. Pritam Kotal's absence is likely to be filled by Prabir Das in the right-back position while Daishuke Sakai is set to take Rahul KP's place on the right wing.

Shillong Lajong, on the other hand, are preparing for their first game of the year after a little break since their last match against Namdhari in the I-League on December 23 of last year. With 19 points from 11 games, Shillong Lajong are presently ranked fifth in the I-League 2023-24. Bobby Nongbet's club will take on the ISL squad after winning two of its previous five games.
