Manchester City star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has shared his verdict on who he would prefer to play with between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have left an indelible mark on the game, making them subjects of relentless comparison. The enthusiasm among supporters extends beyond the general populace to some of the most prominent figures in global football.

Notably, there isn't a single footballing icon who hasn't weighed in on their preference between Messi and Ronaldo.
Among the latest to enter the fray is Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian midfielder, who commands respect for his exceptional skills and vision, recently disclosed his inclination regarding the Messi-Ronaldo debate.
When he was asked if he would prefer to play with Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi he provided a measured answer but the preference shifted to the Al-Nassr captain.
De Bruyne has played against both the superstars at club level and international level. And as per his explanation, him being a midfielder he could be well paired with a typical striker like Ronaldo rather than Messi, who is a similar playmaker like him.
"I would probably say Ronaldo because he's more of a typical striker," De Bruyne stated.
"Messi is still more of a playmaker.
"I am a playmaker, you can give me a striker."
De Bruyne's explanation seems pretty valid considering he has been assisting his striking partners for a decade now. The very last season, he caused havoc playing alongside Erling Haaland, who scored an incredible 52 goals in his debut season at Manchester City.
De Bruyne however has had a tough ongoing season. Since suffering a long-term hamstring injury on the opening day of the season he is yet to feature. However, his recovery is going well and he is expecting to return to action early next year.
