Brentford have secured head coach Keith Andrews on a new long-term contract running until 2032, rewarding a strong first campaign. The club currently sit seventh in the Premier League and are unexpectedly competing for European qualification after many predictions of a relegation fight.
Andrews’ impact has shifted expectations, with Brentford only five points behind fifth-placed Chelsea. The side have collected important wins, played proactive football, and turned early doubts into belief that a sustained run for European spots is possible this season.

The new six-year agreement follows Andrews’ appointment in June as successor to Thomas Frank, who departed for Tottenham. Andrews already knew the squad well, having served as Brentford’s set-piece coach last season, which helped a smooth transition into the main role.
When Andrews first took charge, the original deal was shorter. Phil Giles explained the thinking behind the extension, saying: "When Keith accepted the job last summer, he signed a three-year contract, but the intention was always that we'd review this at the earliest opportunity," and added: "Given our progress this season, I'm really happy that we have agreed this extension within the first nine months."
Across 27 Premier League fixtures, Andrews has guided Brentford to 12 victories, four draws and 11 defeats. That record gives an average of 1.5 points per match and a 44.4% win rate. Brentford have scored 40 league goals, with only six teams registering more in the current competition.
Giles highlighted why the club view Andrews as the right long-term choice. Giles said: "Keith has done an outstanding job, the team are playing well, and the things we thought we could be better at this season have all improved. He is a really good fit for the club and the way we like to work, as he is able to bring the best out of both players and staff alike. Everyone at Brentford will be pleased to hear that Keith will be with us for many years to come, and I'm excited by what we can all achieve together in the coming seasons."
Key numbers from Andrews’ tenure so far are shown below.
