Kenny Tete has committed his future to Fulham by signing a new contract, putting an end to rumours of a potential move to another Premier League team. Fulham announced on Monday that Tete, who was nearing the end of his previous contract, has agreed to a three-year deal with an option for an additional year. This development follows reports suggesting Everton was interested in acquiring the 29-year-old on a free transfer.
Tete expressed his joy about the new contract on Fulham's website, stating, "I'm really happy to have signed, for myself and for my family, and I hope I can give more for the fans in these three years." He emphasised the club's family atmosphere and his desire to contribute further over the coming seasons.Since joining from Lyon in 2020, Tete has played in 89 Premier League matches for Fulham, starting in 78 of them. Last season, he made 22 appearances in the top flight. Despite limited game time, he attempted 56 tackles and successfully completed 38, ranking second among Fulham defenders behind Antonee Robinson.
