Kerala Blasters Beat Inter Kashi 2-0 As Vibin Mohanan, Andre Green Secure Winning ISL Start
Kerala Blasters FC began their Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Inter Kashi at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Sunday. Vibin Mohanan opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Andre Green struck in stoppage time to secure all three points for the Blasters.
Kerala started brightly, with Freddy Lallawmawma firing over from distance in the fifth minute. Inter Kashi responded almost immediately as Rosenberg Gabriel tested goalkeeper Arsh Shaikh, who made a crucial save to keep the scores level. Manvir Singh also threatened for the visitors but sent his attempt over the crossbar.

The Blasters broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Korou Singh set up Vibin Mohanan, who finished with a right-footed effort from the centre of the box. Inter Kashi looked for an equaliser, with Manvir forcing another save from Shaikh in the 35th minute.
Kerala continued to create opportunities before the break, but Albino Gomes denied Lallawmawma, while Korou Singh was unable to convert in first-half stoppage time.

The Blasters continued searching for a second goal after the restart. Substitute Momo Yansane sent an effort wide, while Paul Ramfangzauva and Lallawmawma attempted to extend the lead from distance. Andre Green also came close in the 65th minute but narrowly missed the target.
Inter Kashi remained dangerous. Manvir Singh's header was saved by Shaikh in the 61st minute, while Ayush Chhikara fired narrowly wide in the 72nd minute as the visitors pushed for an equaliser.
Kerala's defence held firm in the closing stages, with Inter Kashi unable to find a breakthrough. Sumit Sharma headed over from a corner in the 80th minute as the Blasters preserved their slender advantage.

Kerala finally secured the result in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Mohammed Sanan provided the assist for Andre Green, who finished with his left foot into the bottom-right corner to make it 2-0.
The late goal capped a disciplined performance from the Blasters, who combined attacking intent with defensive resilience to begin their ISL 2026-27 campaign with a valuable victory. Inter Kashi, meanwhile, were left to rue their missed opportunities despite testing Kerala's defence throughout the contest.
