Kerala Blasters made a brilliant comeback against FC Goa in a 6-goal thriller. It was their first win after five defeats in all competitions. Three of them came in the Indian Super League after coming back from the international break.
However, it was clear from the beginning that all of their issues stemmed from the lack of key players. It seems they already got back Vibin Mohanan and Dimitrios Diamantakos against FC Goa and it made a difference.

Diamantakos scored two vital goals that helped them win the game. KBFC were 2-0 down within the first 17 minutes into the game. It took them time to get the ball rolling into the other side of the net.
It started with Daisuke Sakai in the 51st minute. They turned the game on its feet in the last 10 minutes of the game. Diamantakos scored a penalty in the 81st minute to level the game 2-2. He scored again three minutes later.
Fedor Cernych sealed the deal in the 88th minute and made it 4-2 in KBFC’s favour. This could be the start of their comeback story to fight for the shield. They are sitting in 4th place with 29 points from 16 games.
That's only three points behind ISL 2023-24 table-toppers Odisha FC. Additionally, they are getting back their injured key players slowly. Both Jaushua Sotirio and Adrian Luna should come back to Kochi in early March.
They should also start practicing with the first team when they arrive. The coach hasn't been able to assure whether they will at least be able to participate in the last few matches of the season.
However, it still doesn't rule out their chances of playing. Sadly, it seems first goalkeeper Sachin Suresh is still ruled out for the rest of the season. The same unfortunate news can be said for injured Aibanbha Dohling and Kwame Peprah.
