Almost every Indian Super League team is currently going through an Injury-plagued phase. Kerala Blasters have been hit with the worst side of that it seems. Expectantly, it's affecting their game as they've now lost five consecutive matches throughout all competitions.
They ended the first half of the season at the top of the ISL 2023-24 table. However, they have had three defeats in the same number of Indian matches since they returned from the Super Cup.

As per Times of India Malayalam, the Kochin-based club has suffered a total number of 17 injuries so far this season. Currently, they have seven players who are unavailable to play and are recovering in the infirmary.
Four of these players are out with season-long injuries. Kerala Blasters fans were extremely excited to see Jaushua Sotirio who joined them at the start of this season. However, during the pre-season training camp, he suffered a serious injury.
He was ruled out for the entire season. The same goes for the Yellow Army captain Adrian Luna who underwent surgery in December. He is out for the season due to his chondral knee injury.
Aiban Dohling and Kwame Peprah have also been ruled out for the rest of the season since they sustained their injuries respectively in early October and mid-January. Their most recent injured players include Dimitri Diamantakos, Marko Leskovic, and Sachin Suresh.
Diamantakos has been one of their best players this season. Whereas, Sachin has started all of Kerala's matches this season. The extent of both players’ injuries is yet unknown. However, it seems Leskovic’s injury could be less serious.
It's hard to see how Kerala Blasters will manage to pull themselves up without their key players. However, they still have seven matches to play, and losing every match will guarantee a place outside of the top six and ultimately not qualifying for this season's play-offs.
