Kerala Blasters will be aiming to end their ISL trophy drought this season as the fiery Manjappada kickstart their season at home against arch-rivals Bengaluru FC on September 21.

After their heartbreak in the last season amid controversial circumstances, the Blasters will be hoping to trump their way back this season. The Blasters have so far reached the Final of ISL on three occasions, losing all of them.

The Blasters have made certain changes to their squad ahead of the new season. They roped in Pritam Kotal from Mohun Bagan, while signing the likes of Prabir Das, Ishan Pandita, Nishu Kumar as well.

Among the overseas arrivals, the Kerala side have brought Kwame Peprah, Milos Drincic, Daisuke Sakai and Jaushua Sotirio.

They will be taking on Bengaluru FC in the first match of the season at home, followed by another home affair against Jamshedpur FC. The first away assignment for the Manjappada comes in the form of defending Shield winners Mumbai City, while they will also travel to Goa, Kolkata to take on FC Goa, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal respectively.

"We want to prepare in the best way we can. We will try to do our best. We are training hard and we will be hoping to start well," the Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic said ahead of the start of the season.
