Kerala Blasters’ First-Choice Goalkeeper Sachin Suresh Could Be Out For Season

Kerala Blasters are facing the worst brunt of the injury saga that's following almost every club in the ISL 2023-24. The new addition to this group has been their first-choice goalkeeper Sachin Suresh who got injured in their last game.

As per the media outlet Aavesham Club, Sachin Suresh may need over a month of time to recover from his injury. If he then requires any more time, even if it's for a few days, he can be considered out for the rest of the season.

Kerala Blasters have suffered the most number of injuries amongst all the Indian Super League clubs this season. During their most recent 1-0 defeat against Chennaiyin FC, Sachin and Marko Leskovic added their names to the already long list.

As per reports, Leskovic’s injury is not that serious and fans are hoping he will take to the field in their next match against FC Goa. Sachin sustained an injury to his shoulder that saw him stretchered off the field 38 minutes into the match.

Sachin Suresh has now added his name to the list of four more KBFC players who will not be back before the end of the season. Jaushua Sotirio, Adrian Luna, Aiban Dohling, and Kwame Peprah are the rest four players who are on the list of long-term injuries.

One of their best players of the season, Dimitri Diamantakos is also recovering from an injury. However, he could still come back before the end of the season. Kerala Blasters especially need these players if they want to hold on to their position in the league table.

Kerala Blasters are currently sitting in the fifth place in the league table with 26 points from 15 games. They are in a rather secure place as 6th-placed Jamshedpur FC have 17 points from 16 games.

However, they've recently lost three consecutive ISL games and their next match is at home against FC Goa who have only lost a single match this entire season. Hence, Sachin's absence only dictates doom for the Yellow Army.
