By MyKhel Staff

As the ISL season nears, Kerala Blasters have further bolstered their squad with another foreign signing as Guinean defender Oumar Bah has been roped in for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old centre back has played in Spain for several years and has represented clubs including UE Sant Andreu, EC Granollers, CE L'Hospitalet, Fundació Esportiva Grama, and most recently, UE Vilassar de Mar. Oumar adds another defensive option to the squad, bringing physicality and aerial presence to the backline as Kerala Blasters step up their preparations for the new season.

Oumar Bah joins Kerala Blasters

Standing at 1.90 meters tall, he brings aerial dominance and experience from organized defensive systems in Spanish lower divisions. This marks his first move outside Europe after nearly seven years playing professionally in Spain.

Speaking on the signing, Kerala Blasters FC CEO Abhik Chatterjee said, "Oumar adds another defensive option to the squad as we continue our preparation for the season. We are pleased to welcome him to Kerala Blasters and we look forward to having him with the team soon. Our focus will be on helping him settle in well once he joins the group."

Bah is expected to join his new team by the upcoming week as the Blasters train ahead of the new ISL season. At Kerala Blasters, Bah is expected to anchor the backline alongside players like Matias Hernandez, enabling full-backs to push forward. His adaptation to Indian conditions will be key to building a strong defence.

The ISL season starts from February 14 and the Blasters will have to sort out their venue ahead of that. The Manjappada are expected to move to Kozhikode for ISL this year, shifting from their Kochi base.
