Kerala Blasters kicked off their campaign with an 8-0 victory, matching the record for the most goals scored in a single game, a feat last achieved in 1889 when Highland Light Infantry defeated Shimla Rifles in the second edition final.

The Blasters' attack was powered by Moroccan forward Noah Sadaoui and Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah, who each scored a hat-trick. Ishan Pandita, who replaced Peprah as a late substitute, added two quick goals to complete the dominant scoreline.

In Kerala's second match, Punjab FC took the lead through Luka Majcen in injury time of the first half. Kerala quickly responded, equalizing 11 minutes into the second half when Mohammed Aimen finished a well-placed cross from Kwame Peprah.

Meanwhile, the CISF Protectors secured an impressive victory over the ISL side with an early goal from Santosh Kumar and a late strike by Sahil Kumar. Head Coach Ajit Kumar made two changes to his lineup, opting for a 3-5-2 formation. CISF had previously lost their opening match 3-0 against Punjab FC, where they employed a midfield-heavy formation.

In their second match, CISF took an early lead in the third minute against Mumbai City FC and dominated possession throughout, consistently threatening in attack. Despite Mumbai City's efforts to create chances, CISF's physical defense effectively shut them down, sealing the win.
