By MyKhel Staff

Kevin De Bruyne has officially confirmed that he will leave Manchester City at the end of the current season, bringing to a close a glittering decade with the club.

The Man City midfielder penned an emotional note on Friday and confirmed that he will no longer continue after the conclusion of the season.

"This city. This club. These people... gave me EVERYTHING. I had no choice but to give EVERYTHING back! And guess what - we won EVERYTHING," De Bruyne's note wrote.

Reflecting on his decision, De Bruyne admitted "Nothing about this is easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day eventually comes. That day is here."

The 33-year-old also spoke about the personal bond he shares with Manchester.

"This city will forever be on our kids' passports - and more importantly, in each of our hearts."

De Bruyne joined Manchester City from Wolfsburg in 2015 and has since become a club legend. Over 413 appearances, he scored 106 goals and provided 174 assists, helping City to win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and the elusive UEFA Champions League.

His influence was central to City's domestic dominance, helping them to six Premier League titles and a historic Champions League triumph. More than stats and silverware, De Bruyne leaves behind a legacy of brilliance, leadership, and unforgettable moments in sky blue.

Although offers reportedly came from Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne is now expected to join Major League Soccer side San Diego FC, marking a new chapter in his career. His departure will leave a significant void at City, but his legacy will be etched in the club's history forever.
