Manchester City are reportedly weighing up a move for Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi as they seek a replacement for departed Julian Alvarez.

Julian Alvarez left City to join Atletico Madrid this summer for €95 million. Alvarez left City winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and a Champions League in just two full years, scoring 36 goals and providing 18 assists in 103 appearances.

Undoubtedly his exit has left a crucial spot open in Pep Guardiola's squad. City now reportedly exploring the market for an attacker before the transfer window closes.

The transfer activity at City, which had been relatively quiet for much of June and July, has suddenly gained momentum, with significant developments expected in the coming days.

He has won three Scottish Premiership titles and was the top scorer in the league during the 2022/23 season, also earning the PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year award.
