Bengaluru, Feb 28: La Liga game week 25 kicks off Wednesday, March 1, with fifth-placed Real Sociedad taking on seventh-placed Eibar at the Anoeta Stadium.

Second-placed FC Barcelona take on relegation-threatened Sporting Gijon in a must win game on Thursday, March 2.

Barcelona scalped a hard fought win against Atletico Madrid last week which kept them in the title race. They have to win almost all the matches if they want to overtake rivals Real Madrid and win the championship.

In another important match, league leaders Real Madrid take on Las Palmas. The Los Blancos are ahead of Barcelona by just 1 point with a game in hand.

Last week, they had defeated Villarreal 3-2 after a two goals deficit. Any slip-up will push Barcelona above them in the title race.

In other important clashes, Atletico Madrid face Deportivo La Coruna while Sevilla take on Athletic Bilbao.
