Bengaluru, Mar 16: La Liga game week 28 kicks off on Saturday, March 16, with Las Palmas taking Villarreal at the Estadio Gran Canaria.

In the headlining match of the game week, league leaders Real Madrid take on Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium.

After last week, Real Madrid now have a comfortable lead at the top of the table. They are two points ahead of Barcelona with a game in hand.

In another crucial match, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla lock horns at the Vicente Calderon Stadium. These two teams are currently fighting for the third position.

Sevilla are currently placed at the third place with 72 points from 27 matches while Atletico have 52 points from as many games. A win for Diego Simeone's men will spice up the race for the third spot.
