Bengaluru, Nov 6: In the headlining match of the game week, FC Barcelona locked horns with fourth-placed Sevilla. In an exciting encounter, Barcelona emerged winner with a 2-1 scoreline to their favour.

Carlos Vela and William Jose scored in the 54th and 75th minute respectively to stun Diego Simeone's side. With Atletico's defeat, Sevilla have a golden opportunity to surpass them and move up to the third position in the league table.

In other matches, Malaga defeated Sporting Gijon 3-2, newly promoted Alaves defeated Osasuna 1-0 and Las Palmas defeated Eibar 1-0.

Sunday witnessed two giants of the league Real Madrid and FC Barcelona playing against Leganes and Sevilla respectively.

Real Madrid started Day 2 with a convincing 3-0 win over Leganes. Gareth Bale scored a brace and Alvaro Morata netted one to keep Real at the top of the table.

The last match of the game week 11 featured FC Barcelona and Sevilla. Sevilla scored an early goal in the 15th minute. The visitors were struggling after conceding first. But they recouped quickly in the second half and Lionel Messi scored equaliser.

Minutes later Luis Suarez netted an all-important second goal which proved to be the winner for the Catalan giants.
