Villarreal vs Barcelona Live stream: FC Barcelona will be aiming to consolidate their top spot at LaLiga table with their sixth win on the trot as they take on a tricky Villarreal late on Sunday night.

A win on the night can take them 11 points clear of their traditional rival Real Madrid, who are currently away in the Middle-east to play the FIFA Club World Cup.

Villarreal, however, are no cakewalk as they sit sixth on the table and are chasing Atletico Madrid, who are sitting four points ahead at the fourth spot, which earns a UEFA Champions League playoff spot.

Villarreal, however, have lost their last two games against Rayo Vallecano and Elche unconvincingly and are not the in-form team from January, who won four of their five games at that point.

The 3-1 loss against Elche, in particular, hit them hard as it was the side's first win of the season and pushed Villarreal back in the Champions League qualification race. A loss for them, however, could push them back to the 10th spot with three points separating them from 10th-placed Mallorca.

Villarreal still have been a good team at home against LaLiga giants. They have picked 19 points from nine games at home this season. But Barcelona have been better on the road with impressive 27 points in 10 games.
