Lautaro Martinez compared to Sergio Aguero by Argentine legend Hernan Crespo

Bengaluru, March 18: Former Argentine and Serie A legend Hernan Crespo has compared new Argentine sensation, Lautaro Martinez with Manchester City star Sergio Aguero.

The 20-year-old has been drawing interest from all over the world after his superb last season with Argentine side Racing di Avellaneda where he scored nine goals.

His scoring boots have continued to be developed further this season also as in his 14 appearances as of now he has managed 12 goals and 3 assists.

The forward also has been named in Argentina's squad for friendlies against Italy and Spain later this month ahead of the likes of Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi and is a serious contender of making it to the upcoming Russia World Cup.

The 20-year-old is on the verge of securing a move to Inter Milan rejecting offers from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Roma and Atletico Madrid etc for the Summer as his agent has already stated that the deal with Italian side is almost 90% done.

And talking about his country's new bright prospect, Crespo who also was one of the star players of a rich Inter Milan side of 2000's has claimed that the forward has similar attributes that of Aguero and should he join Inter, he can make a deadly pair with another fellow Argentine, Inter captain Icardi.

"He is very good and can play in many roles; on the wing, as a secondary striker or up top by himself as the main striker," Crespo told Sky Sport Italia. "He has a knack for scoring and he's an intelligent guy.

"Coming to Inter isn't easy, he'll need to be helped and protected. Then hopefully he can show all of his qualities from the beginning, but it won't be a disaster if he needs a little time to settle in.

"He can play with Icardi, I don't think there will be any problems. He reminds me a little bit of Aguero in some ways, like with his low centre of gravity, but he's Lautaro Martinez."

Martinez just like Aguero is a product of the Argentine league. He made his professional debut in November 2015. Since then he has made 45 appearances for La Academia, scoring 20 goals and creating a further five for his teammates.
