Hassan Maatouk speaks post the match that they will turn their focus on to India now and try to be more clinical as they missed a lot of chances today!

The referee blows the long whistle! Lebanon are through to the semis with all nine points on the grab from the group B. They are the only team in the competition to win all their matches and will now face India in the semifinal on 1 July! The first half goal from skipper Hassan Maatouk was all that the Middle East side needed on the day!
Lebanon sub Ali Al Haj draws a save from Maldives 'keeper on the near post as he shot from a tight angle with his left foot
Maldives skipper Hamza Mohammad takes a desperate attempt to score with a left-footed strike but was no different from Haisham's attempt earlier as the ball went away for a goalkick. Lebanon striker Darwich with an audacious attempt from 35 yards! Probably hoping to catch Maldives goalkeeper by surprise but Hussain Shareef palmed it away for a corner following an awkward bounce in front of him.
The quality of the Lebanon attack has died down with a flurry of changes. But it will be wrong to assume the side is done for the day as they are looking to regain momentum in attack with fresh legs.
Maldives skipper Hamza Mohammad was fed with a nice ball on the left flank. The winger found space to send in a cross but his effort was cleared. Maldives are trying to throw everything at Naiz Hassan up front, hoping he will use his pace to get better of the Lebanon centre backs. Haven't worked so far.
India coach Igor Stimac is present at the VIP Stand, keeping a close eye on the game while wearing specs. His presence makes sense as Lebanon are likely to face India in the semifinals, especially if the scoreline remains unchanged.
Maldives threatened to catch Lebanon on the counter with a long ball from the midfield intended for striker Naiz Hassan, the pass was intercepted with a header away for a corner by defender Hassan Srour
Khalil Bader is already troubling Maldives' defence with his trickery and pace as the winger has already made two penetrative runs into the Maldives' box.
Lebanon coach Aleksandar Ilic exhausts his substitution options as Khalil Bader and Ali Al Haj comes in for goalscorer Hassan Maatouk and winger Al Farran
Maldives' Hussain Nihaan penetrates into the box with a mazy run and tries to find a teammate to cross to but his attempt was intercepted away for a corner!
Quality in Lebanon's movement could be seen as they move the ball around with much more finesse and purpose around the field while Maldives are struggling to stitch a move while poor crosses have been delivered into the box so far.
Maldives captain Hamza Mohammad delivers a threatening indirect freekick inside the box but Lebanon's defense somehow managed to clear it. The opportunity came after Haisham Hassan earned a foul deep on the left flank.
George Melki tests the Maldives goalkeeper with a brilliant overhead bicycle kick! Maldives shot-stopper jumped to his left to make the save as the opportunity fell to Melki after a poor clearance by Maldives defence inside the box.
The second half gets underway and there are three changes by Lebanon at half time. Striker Darwich, George Melki and Mahdi Zein come in for Dakramanji, Ali Markabawi and Hussein Zein. Maldives make a change too as Naiz Hassan comes in for Ibrahim Hassan.
Players are coming back on the field and it seems like Lebanon are about to make two changes at the half time.
If the scoreline remains unchanged at the second half then it will surely confirm Lebanon as the Group B toppers and set up a clash with India in the semis on July 1 at this same venue; a rematch of the Intercontinental Cup final.

Goal by Lebanon skipper Hassan Maatouk was the highlight of the half while the Middle East side dominated the play. Lebanon could have doubled their lead if not for the missed chances. It could comeback to haunt them in the second half as Maldives are looking to strike from the set pieces.
Mohamad Sadek makes a solo run into the box from left flank and runs deep before delivering a low cross for striker Ali Markabawi waiting. However, the cross was touched away for a corner by Maldives defender. The referee soon after blows the half time whistle as Lebanon go into the half time with a goal lead.
Hassan Maatouk is fed with a brilliant long pass from the back as the skipper finds space on the right wing and delivers a threatening cross into the box for Sadek, who couldn't reach the end of the cross on time as the ball went away for a goalkick. Lebanon have dropped down their intensity with the goal lead in their hands, this has allowed Maldives opportunity to attack and have used the left flank to penetrate but quality deliveries in the offensive third are missing.
Maldives are resorting to set pieces to get closer to the Lebanon goal and have looked threatening with the tactics as well but clear cut opportunities are still missing.

Hussain Nihaan with an audacious attempt from 25 yards after the third ball fell to him following Maldives' first corner. Lebanon defence wasn't bothered by that effort as it sailed high above the target!
Maldives, on the other hand, have put themselves in a mess as a win may not ensure a semifinal berth. After beating Bhutan 2-0, the island nation lost 1-3 to Bangladesh after taking the lead in the game. The unfavourable result means World No. 154 Maldives may not qualify for the semis even if they beat Lebanon and will be crucial for the side to win the match by a bigger margin.
Lebanon are in a better situation as they currently have a goal difference of +5 while Maldives and Bangladesh have a GD of 0 with the latter having the advantage of facing Bhutan in the evening.
To Bangladesh's advantage, World No. 185 Bhutan have been the bogey team in the group so far with back-to-back defeats and have a goal difference of -5. The Himalayan side is mathematically still in the competition, given they beat Bangladesh by a margin of six goals and hope Maldives lose their match.
Lebanon, who finished finalist in the Intercontinental Cup earlier this month to India, have been the superior side in the group with dominating wins over Bhutan (4-1) and Bangladesh (2-0). Khalil Bader has been the team's top scorer with a goal each in both games while skipper Hassan Maatouk, Mahdi Zein, Mohammad Sadek and Ali Al Haj have also found the net to show the depth of the side.
For Maldives, skipper Hamza Mohammad has scored two goals while Naiz Hassan scored a late goal against Bhutan in 2-0 win.
