Leeds United managed to secure a point in their 1-1 draw against Preston North End, thanks to a last-minute equaliser resulting from an own goal by Jack Whatmough. This result allowed Daniel Farke's team to reclaim the top spot in the table, surpassing Sheffield United on goal difference, although Sheffield has a game in hand.
Frank Lampard celebrated his second win as Coventry City's manager with a 2-1 comeback victory over Hull City. Hull initially took the lead through Joao Pedro just before half-time. However, Coventry responded with Ephron Mason-Clark equalising early in the second half and later assisting Jack Rudoni for the winning goal in the 72nd minute. Despite Victor Torp missing a penalty, Coventry moved up to 15th place.

In another match, Queens Park Rangers extended their unbeaten streak to six games following a 1-1 draw with Bristol City. Marti Cifuentes' team had to recover from conceding a direct free-kick by Scott Twine, who scored with his first touch after coming off the bench. Paul Smyth levelled for QPR shortly after when Bristol City's goalkeeper Max O'Leary failed to clear the ball effectively.
Leeds found themselves trailing after Brad Potts finished off a counter-attack for Preston in the first half. It seemed Leeds might suffer their third away loss in four matches. However, Mateo Joseph managed to direct Dan James' cross towards goal, which deflected off Whatmough for an equaliser. This effort was well-deserved as Leeds applied significant pressure during the second half.
The draw left Preston North End in 16th place, three points shy of the top half of the table. Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers climbed to 17th position ahead of other fixtures scheduled for Saturday. The Robins are now positioned 10th, five points away from playoff contention.
