Montevideo, September 1: Argentine superstar and the poster boy of Football Club Barcelona Lionel Messi has touched down in Montevideo ahead of Argentina's crucial World Cup qualifier with Uruguay.
Argentina were set to face Uruguay in a crucial tie later in the week even then the Barcelona forward still had time to make the day of a young supporter.
As Messi arrived at the team's hotel in Uruguay on Monday, the boy attempted to meet his idol, only to be dragged away by security as he came within a few metres of the forward.
However, Messi ordered the security let the upset child go before calling him over to meet him and take photographs. This was really a nice gesture from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and he once again proved he is a great human being.

Messi led Argentina could only manage a 0-0 draw against Uruguay as their hopes to qualify for next year's World Cup hangs in the balance.
Argentina will need to pick up victories to gain automatic qualification in the remaining three matches as they currently in fifth - a play-off position- in the South American table. Sampaoli's men will hope to get back to winning ways when they host Peru on Tuesday (September 5).
