Inter Miami and owner David Beckham are leaving no stone unturned to roll out the red carpet and make a grand gesture to welcome Lionel Messi and his family next week.

The World Cup winner announced last month he would be joining the MLS Eastern Conference club after leaving Paris Saint Germain as a free agent.

Although Inter Miami are yet to make any official announcement, it is just a formality left to be completed.

Ahead of Messi's arrival at Inter Miami, the club's owner David Beckham was recently seen helping in creating a grand mural for the World Cup winner in Miami.

The images and videos shared by his wife Victoria Beckham's Instagram account revealed a huge mural on the side of a Miami building in which Beckham was seen adding the finishing touch.

In the video, the former Spice Girl Victoria can be heard saying: "So I think David has done a really good job of painting Messi here in Miami.

"Only been here a few days and he got straight to it but look it is massive. Is there nothing David Beckham cannot do? He is up there painting away, I am impressed."

The incredible mural has two images of Messi, one of his upper half, depicting him in his new team's football shirt, and the second and more prominent, a close-up of his face, done in remarkable detail.

Will Sergio Busquets also join Lionel Messi?

Lionel Messi however may not be the only top star who could be welcomed in the next week. As per some reports, his former Barcelona team-mate and one of the best midfielders ever Sergio Busquets too have agreed to join the Argentine on his new journey.

Busquets have left Barcelona following his contract's end and reportedly has chosen Inter Miami as his next destination.

Both of them could mark their Inter Miami debut on July 21 against Cruz Azul at the DRV PNK Stadium.

The tie will come in the group stage of the Leagues Cup which features teams from MLS and Liga MX. It will be the opening game of the inaugural League Cup.

Both legends will have a strong task ahead of them with the side currently sitting last in the MLS Eastern Conference. Messi and Co will have 12 games in hand to turn around the MLS season.
