Lionel Messi, at 38, has rewritten Major League Soccer (MLS) history by becoming the first player ever to score multiple goals in four consecutive regular-season matches.
Messi secured the record in the most recent match for Inter Miami against New England, as the Argentine scored a brace to give his team a 2-1 victory.

Messi opened the scoring in the 27th minute after capitalizing on a defensive error, then doubled the lead in the 38th minute with a clinical finish from a Sergio Busquets through ball. Inter Miami won 2-1, and Messi's performance secured his place in MLS history.
"For me, the best player that has played this sport in history. It's unbelievable because he continues doing things that maybe many, many years ago, we could not see at this moment. But at the end, he's a special player. We are lucky to have him," Miami coach Javier Mascherano said on his former compatriot.
Messi’s streak has not only lifted Inter Miami’s prospects but has also captivated the MLS audience, drawing global attention to the league. His synergy with former Barcelona teammates, especially Sergio Busquets, has been instrumental in Miami’s attacking prowess.
